Sophie's Socks and Stuff

But now I'm back. Hurrah. I've been quite a busy bee buzzing off to portugal, leeds, london, leeds, liverpool, leeds, liverpool, leeds, london, Plymouth, london and Leeds all in the past month. I hope I don't have to go anywhere else for quite a while now.

sorry about the total lack of posting around here for so long. I have been busy doing GCSE exams (I wasn't bothered about them but then decided how chuffed I would actually be to get an A grade so decided to go for it and work really hard despite the million and one other things I was meant to be doing), going to a long conference in portugal, packing up absolutely everything in the house and moving it to another flat downstairs, going to my oldest friends wedding (it was probably the nicest wedding I've been to yet and probably deserves a post of its own if I ever get around to it), unpacking everything in the house, applying for my first ever post doc job (only had half a day to complete the form so I won't be too gutted if nothing comes from it), organising a research trip to liverpool, preparing a talk I'm giving at a conference all on my own (eeek).

That's about it I think. Anyway. Off for about 3 weeks of science fun around the country then I have to finish my experiments, write my thesis and find a job all in very little time. Scary but still just about managable I hope.
